How is your relationship with BT?
I have been a BT customer for a long time now. We like BT because if you need something done, it gets done quickly. From our point of view, that’s a big, big bonus. If our phones are down for even a morning, it affects business badly – you could miss out on opportunities, even two or three sales. The thing with BT is that when you phone them, somebody is on the ball, and on the ball quickly. All our offices use BT. We have five different companies and it can be quite complicated bringing it all together, but BT does make that much easier.
Do you feel in safe hands with BT?
I do, more so than I would have with other companies. It's ok if you are going to save money, but if your phones go down you need to be able to reach someone and you need to be able to reach them fast. So many companies make it sound like it's very easy to change, when the reality is that it's not that straightforward. When setting up with BT, they told us to go ahead with business as usual and they would work around us.
How do you feel knowing you have one allocated account manager?
It makes BT more attractive knowing that they are involved, but all I really want is to be able to lift the phone, phone somebody and for the phone to work. Since we have four or five offices, invariably phones can go down. The nice thing about BT is that they can very quickly switch our phones off and flick us on to the service of another one of our offices, so that the phones are still answered.
Would you trust advice from BT?
Everyone I have dealt with before has been great, so I trust their advice, yes I do.
How would you sum up your relationship?
They are professional, they fix things quickly, and the engineers are very competent and know what they are about. 99/100 there is no problem but when there is, they can find the problem and fix it. BT offers both great service and value for money, especially in today's market. It would take us a lot to move away from BT.
