Opening Doors for Business
Franco Gambale, New Business Development Manager for Fortress Doors, talks about Centralising his communications with the help of BT.

What are the problems facing your business today?

We operate in England, Scotland, NI, Sweden and Poland. Out of all the home countries, we are performing the worst in NI. These are certainly challenging times for the whole construction industry.

What has/could BT do to help meet your needs?

We have a whole communications package with BT. We took everything. This is good from a billing perspective as we get one centralised bill that is much more transparent. It gives us a whole different range of options that we didn’t have before. I don't think we have tapped in to everything that is available. We are only at the start of our journey with BT. Like everybody else, we want to get more and more efficient. BT gives us the opportunity to harmonise the group.

How easy was the move to BT?

The move to BT was streamlined and efficient. BT came in with the best package and we liked the idea of it. It seemed to be the most robust package in terms of having your mobile and landlines coming together. Our vision was to expand the group, and BT was part of this expansion plan – including the centralisation process.

Would BT's work in the community influence your decision on whether or not to come to BT?

Yes it would influence me, of course it would. People get confident when they see partnerships between larger companies and local companies.

Would you recommend BT to any other businesses?

Yes. It was the most competitive, and obviously that was a key driver, but it was also a great opportunity for us to harmonise and centralise – to get everything with one provider, including landlines. It was also an opportunity for us to put mobile communications in for some of our staff who spend time out of the office. I just liked the idea of having that bigger lever, all our communications under one roof.
